The Falcon area serves as home to the nearby Shriever Air Force Base.  Once called Falcon Air Force Base, it was renamed in a ceremony on June 5, 1998 to Shriever Air Force Base.

Falcon is proud to be called home by many military personnel and has many shops and businesses that cater to that lifestyle.  With many community parks, recreation areas, and access to fine school systems the community is well taken care of and prospers from its close affiliation with the Air Force Base.

Ranches are prevalent here in the Toy Ranches Estates, D-Cross-D, Hadden Heights, and numerous others. New subdivisions are popping up in the Meadow Lake area, near its namesake Airport, custom airport homes are being built in this area offer easy access for pilots. The basic amenities are found along Hwy 24. Also in this area is Schriever Air Force Base located just off Hwy 94. Beautiful sunrises and big open spaces invite antelope to graze at dawn.
